The Process

Fanous CAD CAM can help you start from scratch or use your existing design ideas or CAD STL or 3DM file. We can help you and your customer with all aspects of custom jewelry design and manufacturing by being able to see the piece before it is even produced.

1. Submit Idea, Design, Sketch, CAD STL or 3DM file

Details you may want to include are:

• Ring size
• Types, shapes and sizes of stones
• Shank and head style
• Metal type (Platinum, Yellow Gold, Silver...)
• Dimensions of widths, heights, lengths of various parts
• Top and side views

2. Transform the information into a Realistic 3D Rendering

Using your information, we create a 3D CAD file and 3D Rendering that is mailed to you for review before creating the wax.

3. Get production Approval or make Changes

We will make changes to the current model or file and send the new 3D Rendering to you for approval.

4. Final Approval and Produce Model

Upon final approval, we produce the wax model using the Revo540 Multiple Axis Milling System specifically designed as a companion for the Gemvision Matrix Software. 

5. Completed Wax Model

The wax model is produced by the Revo540 onsite and is now able to be shipped or cast.

6. Cast, Set, Polish, Deliver

• We can cast, set stones, and polish the final piece or have an LTV rubber mold made for further duplication of the piece before delivery.
• No special burnout cycle or investment is required due to the jewelry industry standard wax being used.
